Kitasando Coffee is a specialty coffee shop with locations located in central Tokyo. They brew coffee that is made from beans both sourced and roasted by their in-house expert. In addition to their wide array of coffees, they sell an elevated sweets and food menu for take-out or to enjoy in their airy relaxed modern cafe spaces.
KITASANDO COFFEEは、東京都内に複数店舗を構えるスペシャルティコーヒーカフェです。豊富な自社焙煎のコーヒーメニューに加え、スイーツやフードメニューも充実しており、テイクアウトはもちろん、ゆったりとしたモダンなカフェスペースで楽しむこともできます。
Menu Planning
We collaborated with biplane, a company that is opening stores in conjunction with developers and local communities, from concept creation to product creation. In addition to building relationships and coordinating with OEM factories, we were involved in collaborative product planning and development, including collaborations with local companies and local high schools as well as original products.
デベロッパーや地域に寄り添った出店をしているbiplane社に合わせて、コンセプトづくりから商品作りまでを協業。オリジナル商品はもちろん、地域企業や地元高校とのコラボレーションをはじめ、OEM工場との関係構築や調整に加え、協業での商品企画開発にも携わりました。
Art Direction
Kitasando Coffee focuses on single origin beans roasted to their idea expression. This coupled with a light menu, served in a light airy modern cafe. Our design strategy for printed materials was to keep all the graphics minimal and in the background, allowing the interior and the tastes/aromas to take priority. Since the coffee varieties were ever-changing small batches, the cafe team required a packaging system that could be easily maintained by any staff so we created a simple system based on a limited color palette of inks and specialty tinted paper.
シングルオリジンコーヒー豆にこだわり、その豆の持つ個性を最大限に引き出す焙煎を行う同社。店舗内のデザイン戦略として、グラフィックはミニマムに抑え、カフェの雰囲気そのものであるインテリアや店内にただよう香り、味わいを最大限に感じてもらえるよう設計。少量ずつ生産するコーヒーの種類は常に変化するため、どのスタッフでも簡単にメンテナンスできるパッケージングシステムを採用しました。ミニマムな色遣いや質感のある紙質により、味わいを表現しています。
Recipe Development and Operations
We are in charge of procuring ingredients for food and sweets menus, creating recipes, building operations, and training. In addition to ensuring that the food tastes and looks good, we also verify that the central kitchen and store operations are realistic and efficient, and serve as a link between customers, the staff, and the management team. We are committed to healthy operations that aim to turn a profit and deliver many delicious products that satisfy both customers and clients.
フードやスイーツメニューの素材調達からレシピ作り、オペレーション構築や研修を担当。味や見た目が良いのはもちろん、セントラルキッチンや店舗のオペレーションが現実的で効率が良いかなども検証し、お客様、現場、そして経営層をつなぐ役割を担っています。黒字化を目指した健康的なものづくりを心掛け、お客様にもクライアント様にも満足いただける美味しい商品を数多く送り出しています。
